Sao Paulo North Mission

Sao Paulo North Mission
Sao Paulo, Brazil
As most of you know, Elder Kyle Hendrixson left on his mission on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.  He was called to serve in the Sao Paulo North Mission in Brazil.  The original plan was that he would report directly to the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Sao Paulo, Bazil, but unfortunately his visa was not completed by the time he was to report.  So instead of reporting directly to Sao Paulo, Kyle reported to the MTC in Provo, Utah.

Elder Hendrixson was very relieved and excited that his visa came through shortly after his arrival in Provo.  So on Tuesday, January 10th, Kyle and his companion ( a young man from Mesa, Arizona), as well as other missionaries, boarded a plane and headed to Brazil.  Elder Hendrixson was glad to be on his way, as his mission in Brazil only required him to bring one suit . . . and at the MTC in Provo you have to wear a suit everyday.  Needless to say, he was getting tired of being in the same suit!  We haven't heard yet whether or not he has to wear one every day at the MTC in Brazil.

We received an email from Elder Hendrixson that stated "here in Brazil it is just fabulous!", so it seems that his first few days went well.  He also commented that email there is very difficult and time consuming, so he would prefer to have everyone send him letters in the mail.  {He apologized for any inconvenience this may be}

Today was going to be an exciting day for him as two Apostles, M. Russell Ballard and Neil L. Andersen, were going to speak to the missionaries today.  What an amazing experience he must be having!
